Why Assisi, you ask? Our brand draws inspiration from the profound teachings of St. Francis of Assisi, the revered patron saint of animals and the environment, and whose birthday is shared by our founder Greg.
St. Francis preached a philosophy of universal compassion, advocating for the humane treatment of all living beings. His timeless wisdom resonates deeply with our ethos. We strive to emulate his values of kindness and empathy towards every creature. This includes the planet we share.

About the founder
I was looking for a new belt after going fully vegan a few years back, and it seemed like there wasn’t much choice. Either they were made from plastics or they were extremely expensive. This single moment sparked the idea that eventually gave rise to Assisi Style, and it’s the belts that started it all. It’s still a tiny home based operation, and I’m working all hours to bring my products to a bigger audience. I have a hand in the design of them all and I do all of the marketing and promotion (including this website!). There aren’t enough hours in the day, but I’m looking to grow and take on more staff – I’m convinced that so many more people would love these products, vegans and non-vegans alike, if they have the opportunity to see the benefits and try them out. When I’m not running this business you might find me playing the drums in your local pub or club, or running past your window 🙂
